Vote These Candidates for
Swasey School Board

Kaley Dvorak
Hello - I am Kaley Dvorak, you may know my face from my role as one of your Supervisors of the Checklist for Brentwood for the last 6 years. Serving in that role has prepared me to run for school board by allowing me time to see the workings and politics of the town in a more background function.
I am running for school board because I believe in public service as a force for good in a community. There is a lot happening locally with the new principal search for Swasey in the coming months, in the NH education funding space - open enrollment, vouchers, etc - and much more in the broad space of our national conversations. I want to support Swasey in working to find common ground to reach policies that balance the needs of all members of our community. If you elect me to serve on your school board, I would do so with a focus on the welfare of students as the driving force for decision-making. My approach to life is that all problems can be solved, some just take a little bit longer, and I would bring that energy to this role.
I come to this role with a child in the Swasey School, and another who will be attending soon. Swasey has been a great place for my child and I am very thankful for the staff throughout the school for all they do to support the students. In addition to having a student in Swasey, I have supported the school with different initiatives. I facilitated getting Swasey K’NEX kits and led a STEM design challenge where students built robots to tackle a real-world engineering challenge. They then presented their designs to a team of engineers and volunteers whom I helped organize.
By day, I am a data scientist / manager of a business analytics group, in this role I am regularly being called upon to solve a problem in a space that I have some understanding of, but may not be an expert. To do this, I have to be good at asking questions and fully listening to the answers, and then validating what I heard with different parts of the business to make sure any new data process that we design work for everyone. If you would elect me as your School Board Representative, I would be doing the same thing. I would listen to you, the other members of the board, and experts in the space to make the best informed decision which best balances the needs of all our students and the community that we serve. I do not come to this with any agenda but merely a desire to serve you all in the best way I can. If that is what you are looking for in a School Board Representative then l ask for your vote on March 10th.

Katie Coppola
My name is Katie Coppola, and I’m excited to run for a position on the Swasey Central School Board. Many of you may know me from my time at the Mary Bartlett Library or, more recently, from working at our local elections. My family and I have proudly called Brentwood home since 2017. I have two children at Swasey—my son is in 4th grade and my daughter is in kindergarten—and our experience here has been nothing short of wonderful. The educators and staff have made such a positive impact on our family, and I would truly love the opportunity to give back by serving on the School Board.
As a Special Educator in the Timberlane School District, creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive classroom is at the heart of everything I do. I believe deeply in fostering an environment where students feel comfortable being themselves and confident in their abilities. That’s why Swasey’s mission—to create a joyful and safe learning community where every student feels a sense of belonging—resonates so strongly with me. I also value the commitment to innovative and engaging academics that prepare students for an ever-changing world. In my own classroom, I’m always looking for creative ways to help students build both the academic and real-world skills they need to thrive.
My role in Special Education has also given me meaningful experience collaborating with families, students, teachers, and administrators. I regularly work on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), which require careful attention to detail, thoughtful communication, and a strong understanding of policy and procedure. These experiences have taught me how important it is to listen carefully, advocate effectively, and work collaboratively to ensure every child receives the support they deserve. As a School Board member, I would bring that same commitment to advocacy, teamwork, and thoughtful decision-making.
I also recognize the financial challenges many families in our community are facing, especially with rising property taxes. While I am committed to keeping “Swasey Strong” and supporting the high-quality education our children deserve, I am equally committed to being mindful of the financial impact on families, retirees, and those on fixed incomes. Responsible budgeting and thoughtful planning are essential to maintaining both educational excellence and community trust.
Thank you so much for your time, consideration, and support. It would be an honor to serve our community and our children in this role.
