Library Trustee

My name is Melody Santos, and I am seeking your support for reelection to the Library Board of Trustees. I am committed to our library’s mission, and I’m passionate about ensuring that every Brentwood community member has free and open access to information. During my time on the Board, we have accomplished significant milestones, including promoting a devoted employee to Assistant Director /Children’s Librarian, overseeing the renovation of our once-dilapidated amphitheater, and updating our Employee and Operations policies to better serve our staff and patrons. I possess the ability to collaborate effectively with fellow Board members and library staff, fostering a respectful and productive environment. I bring valuable insight from years of working in public libraries and I am also currently pursuing my master’s in Library and Information Science. I regularly engage in library programs and am a previous member of the Friends group.  I believe that our library is a vital part of our community. With my education, experience, and unwavering enthusiasm for our library, I genuinely believe I am the right candidate to continue serving on the Library Board of Trustees.
