Trustee of the Trust Funds

My name is Linda Garey and I am seeking your support to serve as a full member of the Trustee of the TrustFunds (“TTF”).

I have been an alternate member to the TTF since last year. I recently retired as a Trusts & Estates attorney from McLane Middleton,
the largest law firm in N.H. While at McLane, I assisted institutional clients with developing and revising investment policies for the management of charitable funds. It is critical that those who hold charitable funds be held to the highest standards and understand their legal obligations. I also often worked closely with the Charitable Trust Unit in N.H. I have a deep understanding of the fiduciary responsibility that a recipient of donated funds has (e.g., the Town of Brentwood) to comply with the donor’s stated wishes as closely as possible.

 

Previously, I served on the Swasey School Board for 3 years and as the Brentwood representative to the SAU 16 Coop School Board for another 3 years. During my 6-year tenure on those Boards, I became familiar with the importance, use and expenditure of capital reserve funds. Each Trustee serving on the Trustee of the Trust Funds Board has a critical role in administering the funds appropriately. I respectfully ask for your vote on March 11th.
